At the first visit, you or your child will have time to discuss the reason for referral, and will go through the intake process. Then you or your child will continue with approximately two and a half to three hours of testing. The next testing session will be another two and a half to three hour process. Then, a feedback session will be scheduled two to three weeks later where you will have the opportunity to receive and review your results and recommendations as well as your report. If you need your examiner to consult with any outside professionals, you may sign consent at this time.

While it is the right of every individual to have their child evaluated through the school district at no cost if they suspect a disability, at Apple Psychological, we provide complete comprehensive, thorough assessments which include detailed recommendations for both the home and school environment. These helpful, effective strategies give parents and children the necessary tools to assist in improving your child’s social and emotional well being as well as their academic functioning. In addition, you will have the benefit of our professionals who will serve as an advocate for your child as they are able to communicate assessment results with your permission, to educators, doctors, and the Committee of Special Education. This advocacy, communication, and support improves your child’s chances of getting the support that they need to be as successful as possible.

We are not in-network for Psychoeducational Evaluations. The fee for our complete comprehensive evaluation from start to finish is $3000. You may submit to your insurance and use your out of network benefits, We will complete paperwork to assist you in trying to obtain reimbursement, depending on your plan. Regardless of your coverage, half of the evaluation cost ($1500 is due at the time of the intake and the balance ($1500 is due at the feedback session.

Yes! We encourage children to be evaluated on weekends so they can be well rested, well fed and have the time they need to complete the assessments.
