Desarie Nicholas, LMSW
Opening up to someone new can be intimidating, and opening up to your new therapist may feel the same way. When starting therapy, a person may be filled with uncertainty.
I maintain transparency throughout the therapeutic process to ensure that open communication remains a central part of my client’s treatment process. I believe in therapy as a collaborative process between myself and my clients, where they can feel comfortable sharing their goals, and I can provide guidance and support in helping them to reach these goals.
The therapeutic alliance that I form with my clients is my top priority, as I understand that the greatest results manifest when there is strong trust between myself and my clients.
Experience:
Desarie is a Licensed Master Social Worker with a Master’s degree in Social Work from Hunter College. Desarie has a wealth of experience working with children in NYC public schools to develop their social-emotional well-being. Desarie also works with highly motivated millennials to provide a non-judgmental space for them to progress into their best selves through strengths-based approaches.
