Dont Let Depresssion Get You Down.
When you wake up in the morning, do you wonder how you are going to handle getting out of bed? You might already be anticipating all of the challenges that you are going to face that day- people that you will need to talk to, tasks that you will need to do, decisions that you will need to make….it all feels so exhausting.
Maybe you feel that it is easier just to stay in bed rather than face the obstacles waiting for you. This way you don’t need to deal with the judgements of others or feel like a burden. You just want to pull the covers over your head and go back to sleep.
Because staying in bed means that you do not have to face your list of actual responsibilities. And you don’t have to put on a happy face and pretend that things are ok.
Its Time To Face The Truth.
You want things to be ok. And you try to make things seem like they are ok. You convince yourself that you can handle it on your own. But you are not ok. And you need help. And that is ok. YOU ARE NOT ALONE.
Send us a message if you have any questions.
Stop Living In Fear.
Fear that you can’t face the day. Fear that people will judge you or fear that you can’t meet their expectations. Maybe you fear that you will disappoint yourself. You give up before you even start.
You know that staying in bed forever is not the solution. You know that eventually you will have to face the music because you have real responsibilities to deal with.
You so desperately want to feel better. Maybe people are counting on you. Perhaps you feel like there is a weight inside holding you back from doing the things you know you need to do. It is possible that you feel mentally and physically exhausted, and maybe even blame yourself for not being able to get yourself out of this emotional state you are in.
Even though many people feel like they can control their moods and emotions, clinical depression is out of a person’s control, making them feel helpless and hopeless about their abilities and future. This often causes a downward spiral resulting in shame, low self-worth, and eventually can lead to social withdrawal and isolation.
Take Your First Step Toward Change.
Thinking about change is scary. It is much easier to run for the hills and go right back to bed and under the covers. But that is what makes the therapeutic process so amazing.
It is a journey that is done together. We are with you every step of the way.

The first step is the hardest.
Once you finally make the brave decision to commit to taking the journey towards change, you will not feel alone anymore.
See The Light At The End Of The Tunnel With Depression Therapy.
With depression therapy, there is hope. Hope that there will be progress. And relief, allowing you to see an end to the sadness. At Apple Psychological, you will find a nonjudgmental, warm, caring, safe space where you can feel free to express yourself freely.
Sure, it will take time, and it will take courage, but it will be worth it as you begin to feel better and better, making strides and being able to feel moments of joy again. You will learn how to retrain your brain to experience happiness, even in the little things that you once enjoyed.
You will remember how to laugh again and perhaps rekindle relationships that you have lost or left behind. In therapy, you will experience an awakening that maybe you forgot existed because of the dark cloud above your head.
What Is Depression Therapy?
Once you make the decision to take the first step to participate in therapy, first, Congratulations! You have given yourself a very special gift of well-being and are showing yourself that you are an important priority. Also, you are giving yourself the message that your mental health matters, just the same as your physical health and needs to be addressed accordingly.
When you book a therapy appointment, you will be asked to fill out standard intake paperwork and consent forms which will give your therapist important background information necessary to start our work together.
In your first intake session, you will meet your trained, compassionate therapist who specializes in depression, where you will finally have the opportunity to express yourself in an unbiased, nonjudgmental, therapeutic environment.
We offer a FREE 15-minute consultation to discuss which of our therapists is the best fit to help you cope with your depression. Once that has been determined, your therapist will take their time establishing rapport, and developing an idea of how your depression is hindering your ability to live a full, happy, peaceful, life. We may also discuss your history and any past traumas that may have resulted in negative thinking patterns or may have influenced your way of viewing the world.
At Apple Psychological, we have been helping children, adolescents, and adults with depression get out of bed, cope with life’s challenges, and find their joy again for almost 20 years. Our holistic team approach, combined experience, knowledge of various therapeutic techniques, together with our compassion for our clients and love for what we do have proven to be successful in helping our clients to reach goals that they never thought possible. We treat our clients as family and many of our clients’ families have been in our practice for many years as they trust our clinicians and often refer them to their own friends and family.
So, I’m Finally Ready To Treat My Depression But I Have A Few Questions….

WILL I BE FORCED TO GO ON MEDICATION?
At Apple Psychological, our approach is to work with you together as a team, making decisions that make sense and are comfortable for you. The decision to go on medication or not is a personal decision that, while it may be discussed in a thoughtful manner, will never be forced upon anyone.

There are many options beyond medication that can help with symptoms of depression. As with all of our clients, the ways we help you address your problems have to make sense to you.
I AM WORRIED ABOUT WHAT OTHERS THINK IF THEY FIND OUT THAT I AM GOING TO THERAPY. IS THERE SOMETHING WRONG WITH ME?

We as human beings are social creatures and need the connection of others to assist us in the battle in overcoming our depression.
